synopsis: noun

a brief or condensed statement giving a general view of some subject

Altered Book Lesson 5: Design Principals ( part 1 )

If you want to check out the different pages from Lesson 5, here is a synopsis with links, I figured that would be easier than posting it all on one page! Most of you have already seen the pages anyway :)

Like many others in the class, we realize that a lot of our creations already use the elements of design, but it's something we don't actually think about ahead of time. They just come to us in the "moment" so to speak. But I think a refresher course is always welcome as it does make you conscious of what and why you are doing something!

Hi Sandee, I love your pages, especially the first one. The colours are amazing and give a very 'under water' feel. Lovely.

Cool way to give a synopsis of what you've accomplished so far. I just love your theme and pages....it's just amazing how different everyone's book is looking!

What's the history of your post titles? Are you an English teacher in another life? Just love words? Helping us improve our vocab? Whatever, I think it's incredibly clever but seems like a lot of work....

I did see all of your pages but they are so much fun, and I love how you have showed them as a synopsis! I wondered about the words, too!

Hi Sandee,

I love seeing the pages together in one post. The first one is my favorite. But maybe it's the last one. Or the second one? I can't decide!!!

Hugs,
Kay

When I first started coming to your blog, I didn't think much about the words you shared with each post. Now I would love to know a bit about how this started. I really appreciate it, though, because I think of words I don't often think about or possibly how they are used.

yes, I agree. A lot of what we do feels right so it is the identifying and labeling that is the must helpful. Your pages are wonderfully done.

Thanx for having a look on my blog, just managed to set one up with the help of my lovely sister over at Karens Carry Ons, bless her. Way behind on the previous lessons but hoping to catch up soon and pop them on my blog as and when lol!

I think your pages have it all Sandee, they look fantastic (loving your mermaid in particular!). I'm both looking forward to, and a little daunted by the thought of lesson 5 - good thing I like a challenge - lol xx
