feeling schroomy!

I love my paper casting, I cannot lie! It has been a lot of fun to see what I can make a mold from, and I discovered that some stamps make awesome molds! I love these mushrooms from the What's Up Gnomey stamp set, aren't they cute and light as a feather too, which is always important to me when I am making a card.

Please bop on over to the {my sweet earth} blog to see how I put this card together!
Leave me a comment too so I know you love me! lol

50 Shades of Grey canvas

It's been banned from an exhibit, sad but true that in this day and age that this was considered too racy to hang. And I could have gone a whole lot sexier if I had tried!!
Coffee without caffeine is like sex without leather.
"Spiced Coffee" 12x36" mixed media - acrylic, inks, hand sewn beading, and gelatos $175.00

However, with the premier of 50 Shades of Grey I am hoping that it will get more exposure....hmmm....should I have phrased it that way? lol I think it would make an awesome Valentine's Day present for your 50 Shades of Grey lover.

Anyway, I loved the books and I am positive I will go watch the movie too....just hoping the movie can live up to the book.

Rating my friends.....

Feeling very Downton Abbey these days as I am in the middle of a Netflix marathon! So I am getting the art of expressing thought  down in the form of handwriting a letter on some hand made stationary paper that I created using my Arnold Grummer Papermill kit. And I am going to use my fancy schmancy fountain pen to write with...( oh how the Dowager Countess of Grantham would frown at that remark! )  But I am after all..."just" an American!! lol

I have a new way of rating my best friends now a days, lol
A friend will save you paper for paper making, a best friend will shred the paper for you and store it in a reusable container!
Thank you Jamie for not only doing this but also for schlepping it across the mountains to bring it to me! Isn't this lavender color just divine?

I do hope you pour yourself a cuppa tea and join me over on the {my sweet earth} blog for my old fashion letter writing adventure.

yes or Gno?

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - All things bright and beautiful
Word Art Wednesday - challenge 169 Anything Goes
MFT Card Challenge - Sketch 214 Challenge

I love puns, Gno doubt about it! And I LOVE my What's Up Gnomey? stamp set. It was fun to make a Valentine Day card in a bright springy palette....I think Mr. Gnome and I both are anticipating spring. ( He says that Mr. Groundhog doesn't know a thing about weather forecasting and isn't quite sure how he got that job! )

I took some Liquid Pearls and swirled them on for his beard, I like that the Liquid Pearls leave texture that way, there is just something about a snowy white beard that screams swirls to me.

I just had to make this card when I saw this Valentine pun....I could not pass it up!

friendship rose

This is part 2 of the try out for

I made a rose from a piece of my handmade paper that I created with my Arnold Grummer Papermill Kit (using a recycled shampoo bottle that I snitched from a hotel stay for the vase) and wrapped the bottle in a beautiful Dazzling Diamond Adhesive Sheet from The Buckle Boutique.

I began by gathering some supplies that I thought would work well together.

And I started by making my rose. As you can see I used a plastic lid to create my circle from which I cut a spiral out of. Then I had a fabulous idea, to give the paper some shimmer using my Colour Arte Twinkling H20's. I got out the colors, Fairy Plum and Purple Sage to adorn the rose "petals" with.
Then, once the flower was drenched in it's soft brilliance I wound and curled the "petals" to my satisfaction adhering it with my Helmar 450.

I just love my tiny rose in it's little vase. It can brighten up any corner it sits in.
