Some bunny loves you!

You know what stinks? Having your card returned to you for insufficient postage which means it didn't get there in time, 😞 I knew better, but carelessly put the wrong stamp on the envelope. Meanwhile, to make this less of a downer, watch the very short video of what I put inside the envelope which prompted the necessity for extra postage. Hope you laugh along with me!

well, sorry the video won't show up but you can go here to see it.

Linking my card up to Paint Party Friday!

And if you are feeling particularly generous and just want to make my day then you could go leave me a comment over on the StencilGirl blog because I posted this dreamcatcher art journal page over there. Comments sure are nice here on my blog but it makes me smile to get comments over on a manufacturers page, lol Insecurity strikes us all doesn't it?

Egg-stra special card

I've had plenty of cards published before so why is this card egg-stra special to me?
That's because the image is hand drawn...yep, that's MY artwork on this card!
Pretty nifty, eh?

The Buckle Boutique bunny box and gift bag!

Oh. My. Cuteness.
Feast your eyes on this adorably blinged out Easter bunny!!!!
It was so easy to do since the rhinestone sheets are self adhesive!

I had so much fun using my punch that I punched out some matching rhinestones to adorn the butterfly tag that came with the gift bag.

And it was super easy to cut a strip of green rhinestones to trim the bag with!
How easy to jazz the simple bag up!!

I just loooooooooooveeeeeeeee how she turned out!!
Get your own rhinestone sheets and enjoy in on the blingy fun!

Happy Easter!

There is no Sundays with Sandee today, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. This is my big bunny head that I made about 6 years ago, and I revamped it a little this spring with a new paint job and some fresh flowers. ♥ I love seasonal door decor!

I have been making little Easter treats for the ladies in my building for the last 3 years. There are 4 of us and I always sneak down the night before and put something out for them. This year I found these cute little Lindt chocolate bugs, so I hot glued them onto the flower stem that I created, hung a tag on it and taped it to their doorbell. They look so cute, it will be a shame when they take them inside, lol

After church, I am off today to go have Easter lunch with 2 of my art besties at the Arboretum and hopeful the weather is going to cooperate with us and give us a nice sunny spring day. Here's wishing you a wonderful Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone!

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are my Easter projects that I made for my friends and neighbors:

2 egg cartons filled with goodies for the elderly neighbor ladies who live below me.
And I made up a lot of Peep S'more's and handed them out to my friends, they get their's early since the Easter bunny has to hand deliver them! lol
( This Peep S'mores will be hung from the door knob for the girl who lives across from me along with the neighbor's below who get the egg cartons. The Easter bunny delivers theirs during the night for them to have a surprise in the morning !! )

I did change how I put the goodies inside the egg cartons, I like this much better than the orginal version. You can go to Try it on Tuesday to see the first version and you still have until April 8th to play along with our Recycle It challenge!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you know that there is a PEEPS web page? HA!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I was asked by Winnie ( concerning my Art MoB 6 month recap  )
"Is the shop you sell for online as well so others can look and order from it as well?"

The answer is no. I chose to not do an Etsy shop because I want to obviate dealing with the Post Office on a regular basis. I love being in a shop where I can restock and then can walk away from it. I am lucky that I live in one of those tourist towns where there are a lot of people visiting the shop. ( excluding the months of January and February ).

nascent: adjective

coming or having recently come into existence
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's Tuesday and it's time for our new challenge which is:
Our challenge is to use old packages, plastic boxes string etc and upcycle them!!
Go check out what my fellow DT members created, I was blown away with their creativity!

I love this challenge! I have 2 little old ladies who live on the ground floor and I enjoy making then surprises to have. I took a half an egg carton and embellished it. First applying some coordinating pattern paper to cover the top.

Little Scrap Pieces is having a challenge to use a hand made embellishment.
I made washi tape or faux ribbon, however you want to look at it, lol I took masking tape and laid it out on a piece of wax paper ( so it would lay flat to work on it, yet wouldn't stick ) Then I rubbed some Ranger Distress Stain on it and spritzed it with water. Then made faux stitching lines on it with a Distress Marker. Great way to trim the egg carton since it's tape.Added a small flower with a drop of Liquid Pearls to finish it off.
Tied it up with some scrumptious Really Reasonable Ribbon and filled it with fun Easter goodies...yum..snacked on a few of them myself ;)
Over at Anything but a Card they are asking you to create something Spring or Alice in Wonderland related, and this definitely falls into the spring category!

Our sponsor for this month's challenge is Craft-embellies with a  £10 store voucher.

A little card I drew, I used water color paper and Faber Castell Aquarelle pencils to color in the back ground and the chick. Metallic grape Gelato for her hat and hand stitched some grass. Outlined everything with their PITT pen in black.

A close up shot of her little flower hat and the fuzzy brad! The Liquid Scrapdots really do help balance the brad "underworkings" ( for lack of a better word for the parts that poke through the paper ) I also think paper piecing adds a lot to a simple card too, do you?
I really do love dimension on a card, and haven't a clue why it makes me so happy?

Helmar - Liquid Scrapdots

grift: verb

to obtain (money) illicitly (as in a confidence game)
or
to acquire money or property illicitly

pronunciation

"Grift" was born in the argot of the underworld, a realm in which a "grifter" might be a pickpocket, a crooked gambler, or a confidence man—any criminal who relied on skill and wits rather than physical violence—and to be "on the grift" was to make a living by stings and clever thefts."

Inkspirational Challenge #12

I love having a sketch challenge and trying to come up with an alternate way to do it yet keep within the parameters of the sketch requirements. I was worried at first at the mono chromatic aspect to the challenge but once I began digging through my stash it all came together on it's own. I just love that!

I have used Liquid Scrapdots for many tiny things before but I think this little bee that I fussy cut out is the tiniest of them all!
ANOTHER reason I love Liquid Scrapdots is the layering effect. I know that twine and burlap aren't that thick, but when you want your die cut to "float" equal to the material; it sure makes that feat possible with Liquid Scrapdots. With pop dots, you have a height you cannot manipulate, but with LSD, anything is possible! I used the LSD under the flower and under the top portion of the clay pot.

American Crafts - pattern paper
Cricut - Stretch Your Imagination cartridge, p. 80 ( tag )
Close to my Heart - ink marker
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Hemp ribbon ( bow )

Relict: noun

a surviving species of an otherwise extinct group of organisms; also : a remnant of a formerly widespread species that persists in an isolated area
or
something left unchanged

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still using Rangers Spring Pallette colors:
Distress Stain, Peeled Paint
Dylusions, lemon zest, vibrant turquoise

Used my Distress Marker, antique linen dipped in Distress Stain, vintage photo for the cross ( love this technique )

Had to use Tattered Angels, popsicle for the lavender color

Carmine Tango - font

I wanted to use the Ranger palette in the background, creating a soft backdrop for the cross. I dropped a small amount of ink on a piece of wax paper, added water and painted the colors with my water pen. Heat set and then spritzed with water and blotted.  Printed the saying directly on the card. My cross is outlined with Faber Castell PITT pen.

Adding another camera themed card for the Moxie Fab - Camera Craze...I mean, how much fun is one allowed? I hope endless amounts! This will be the 12th card in my 30 Mother's Day cards in 30 days challenge issued by the Art MoB.

I love that a very old Cricut cartridge had something that would work for the ever trendy camera craze, which is a Polaroid frame. I can still smell the chemicals from my dad's Polaroid and watching with fascination as the picture emerged right in front of our eyes...just like magic!

I added a small dollop of LSD under the butterfly wings, just to give it a slight dimension.

Echo Park - pattern paper
Cricut - Country Life, p. 73 ( flowers )
Don Juan cartridge , p. 70 ( Polaroid frame )
Paisley cartridge - p. 40 ( butterfly )
Helmar - Liquid Scrapdots
Faber Castell - PITT pen

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aud Sentiments Challenge - Easter

I don't really need to explain the sentiment....do I girls? lol
The rabbit looks too scared to answer!

I think I cut the carrot from Create a Critter cartridge, it was a while back when Cricut gave us a free cut in the Cricut Craft Room. It's a really cute cartridge...and Jamie, if your reading this....it would make a fabulous Christmas present for me next year..hint hint...lol

Ranger - stickles
Maya Roads - tan felt flower
EK Success - Gem sticker
everything else - from my Easter stash bag

So, the question begs to be asked.....Does size matter?

twine - misc.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't believe it's March already and that Easter is at the end of the month!!
So, I decided it was time to take down my winter wreath off my front door.

I love my new Sony camera that Jamie gave me for my birthday, the macro shot feature works so much better on this camera than the one on my old Kodak!! This is a close up shot of the embellishments I used. An old Christmas ornament ( the cardinal ) and a branch I cut from my Cricut, Winter Wonderland cartridge out of chipboard and painted it.

Put up my Easter bunny on my door, but I'm going to have to change it's colors for next year. It clashes with my spring welcome mat I bought last year....evidently I bought it after Easter and wasn't thinking about my bunny head that I had made! lol I made the bunny head last year at a crop, while everyone else was scrap booking I was making this! I'm going to need to paint the hat, and change his bow tie and then he'll be all matchy matchy...which will make me happy, happy!

It doesn't feel very spring like out side, currently it's 36 degrees! brrrr....
