Sparkling Bookmarks

I give away a bookmark for every card I sell at the Art MoB, so I am constantly looking for new ones to make. It dawned on me that The Buckle Boutique Rhinestone Self Adhesive Sticker Sheets would make an excellent bookmark.

The perfect bookmark, and super easy to make. I think I will need to make a lot of them!

Each one is adhered to some material, and I love how well it sticks to the fabric! Aren't they pretty? Just look at all those beautiful colors!

Fusion of bling

I have a thing about my brushes, I love them. I also don't want to accidentally pick up a watercolor brush and use it with acrylic paint. So I made a sparkly mosaic jar to keep my watercolor brushes separate from my other brushes.
I made it all from scrap pieces of the Adhesive rhinestone sheets from The Buckle Boutique. Not only does it keep my brushes separate, I happen to think it looks very artsy too. Here are several views of, it looks different from every angle!
Technically, you can safely use watercolors with acrylic brushes, but always exercise caution when using watercolor brushes with acrylics.
A single use with acrylics can forever alter a watercolor brush.

#LOVEYAWHOLEBUNCHES blingy gift box

I made the most scrumptious gift box with The Buckle Boutique self-adhesive rhinestone sheets!

First I traced the box onto the back of the Dazzling Diamond adhesive sheet and cut it out with my scissors. Then I painted the inside of the box with DecoArt's Americana Multi-Surface Paint, and yes...I should have done this step first because I also discovered a small area along the bottom of the box that had the sheet pressed right up to it and knew I couldn't paint that edge without messing it up, so I used my Faber Castell PITT pen to color it in. I also used a Sharpie to outline the edges and smudge them to really make the box pop.

Now I get to embellish the top of the box! I added a flower and a sentiment using my favorite glues, Helmar! They make adhering products to the rhinestone sheets a snap!

The sentiment stamp come from Susan K. Weckesser-Jillian Vance design called Love Ya Whole Bunches.

I decided it needed something on the inside cover so I decoupaged a magazine image cut into a heart shape using Earth Safe Finishes Decoupage.

I just love how my little blingy box turned out!

They are so easy to use and so much fun if you want to give them a whirl they have some Sample Packs that you can try out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my gosh, I just love my latest project, and I can tell you one thing, it took me longer to snag this picture than it did embellishing my feeder! I truly adore the peel and stick bling, it makes additions like this so easy and fast!! And what adorable little Hummer doesn't deserve his own blingy feeder?

First I washed and thoroughly dried the top to the feeder. Then I cut the width by 2 rows on the Red Dazzling Diamond Self Adhesive Sticker Sheet and then peel the backing off and apply it to the feeder. I didn't have enough to make one strip go all the way around by itself, but because of the way the rhinestone sheets are made they butt right up to each other and you cannot tell where I stopped and started back up!

Next, let's talk about some Hummingbird safety. Do NOT put anything with adhesive anywhere near to where their tiny little feet will be. You do NOT want to risk them becoming stuck to your feeder, that would be horrible, which is why I placed my bling on the rim, nowhere near his little perch.

Next, let's discuss bling safety, lol I would not recommend placing the top where the bling is inside the dishwasher. I recommend washing the top by hand.

My friend Becky shared some Hummingbird facts with me and I thought all you lovers of Hummers might enjoy reading them too:
  • Hummingbirds have tongues that are grooved like the shape of a "W".
  • Hummingbirds have tiny hairs on the tips of their tongues to help them lap up nectar… similar to a cat.
  • A hummingbird's bill is longer in proportion to its body, as compared to other birds.
  • Hummingbirds have no sense of smell, but can hear better than humans.
  • Hummingbirds
  • Hummingbirds are attracted to all bright colors, although red is most prominently associated with these tiny birds.
  • Hummingbirds see in ultraviolet light and they can see further than a human.
  • Hummingbirds have a great memory – they remember every flower & feeder they've been to, and how long it will take a flower to refill.
  • The hummingbird brain is 4.2% of its body weight – this is the largest, in proportion, of the wild bird group.
  • Hummingbirds are the only birds that can fly like a helicopter… up, down, sideways, front, and back!
  • Hummingbirds are the second largest family of birds with a total of 332 species.
  • Hummingbirds have weak feet – they mainly use them just for perching.
  • When food is scarce and they are fatigued, hummingbirds go into a hibernation-like state (also known as torpor) to conserve energy.
  • A hummingbird's heart beats up to 1,260 times per minute.
  • Hummingbirds do not mate for life.
  • A baby hummingbird is roughly the size of a penny and is unable to fly.
  • The average life span of a hummingbird is 5 years, but they have been known to live for more than 10.
  • Hummingbirds fly at an average of 25-30 miles per hour, and are able to dive up to 50 miles per hour.
  • Some hummingbirds will travel over 2,000 miles twice a year during their migration.
And with these pictures I can add the Hummingbird to my
Birding Life List:
1. Crow
2. Eastern Bluebird
3. Common Grackle
4. Red Belly Woodpecker
5. Mallard Duck
6. Downy Woodpecker
7. Ruby Throated Hummingbird

Closthespins and bling ♥

What do you get when you up-cycle a tin can, clothespins and bling? You get an adorable and easy to make project that is perfect to add a candle or a small potted plant to!
The Dazzling Diamond Rhinestone Sticker sheets makes this project a snap! I simply cut the sheet of Solid Crystal Clear sheet with my scissors into rows of three, fit to the length of the clothespin, peel off the backing of the jeweled sticker sheet to reveal the adhesive backing and placed the bling over the clothespin. It is simply that easy!!
To finish off my container I added a shimmery ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a glittery flower from my stash. This came together so fast that it feels like cheating! lol
To give it a finishing touch I added a sheet of Tiffany Blue to the inside of the container that I cut out with my Cricut machine.  Because the 3mm "stones" are actually a gel or soft resin substance, they can be cut down the middle which makes them super easy to cut with any electronic cutting machine.

One last picture, just to show that I added a candle to mine....now seriously...cute, right?

Bring on the sun and the fun!

Hi everyone, is it time to time to upgrade from those tired, old sunglasses you've been wearing for an eternity? Add some fun with The Buckle Boutique Rhinestone Sticker Sheets sheets for pizzazz!! (Makes me want to prop myself up on the beach and have a cabana boy bring me one of those frou frou drinks with an umbrella in it! Maybe in a coconut shell?)

I used the Hot Pink Black Zebra Dazzling Diamond sticker sheet to decorate with. The print went so well with the original glasses which were hot pink and black. All I had to do was cut the strips from the sheets, press them on, snip to trim and voila...done!

Because the sheets are flexible you can just go around a curve easy peasy! I LOVE that!

I have quite a lot of plastic sunglasses. It's just a nice accessory, it adds a final thing, and it's my favorite way of figuring an outfit.

Dazzling birthday wishes

I love playing with the Dazzling Diamond sheets from The Buckle Boutique store because they are so versatile. Today I used some to embellish a card with.

I used the Clear Black Zebra Stripe to adorn my card. I think it's kinda classy looking.

Not only are they super easy to cut with your scissors, but because they are on grids, they are also super easy to cut straight lines and counts the squares, so you don't need a ruler or have to measure anything to get the same sizes.
I am also digging the contrast between the handmade paper and the bling!

The Buckle Boutique bunny box and gift bag!

Oh. My. Cuteness.
Feast your eyes on this adorably blinged out Easter bunny!!!!
It was so easy to do since the rhinestone sheets are self adhesive!

I had so much fun using my punch that I punched out some matching rhinestones to adorn the butterfly tag that came with the gift bag.

And it was super easy to cut a strip of green rhinestones to trim the bag with!
How easy to jazz the simple bag up!!

I just loooooooooooveeeeeeeee how she turned out!!
Get your own rhinestone sheets and enjoy in on the blingy fun!

Gold Dazzling Diamond luggage tags

Hi everyone, this is my first post for The Buckle Boutique!

Wow, I'm not sure what I like the most about these rhinestone sticker sheets....
1. That they are a sheet of rhinestones just turns me on...just saying! lol
2. They have awesome sticking power!
3. AND you can slice and dice right through them!!
seriously amazing!

I know I'll have the best luggage tags around and with all that bling my luggage will be a snap to recognize on that turnwheel. Go ahead...oooooh and ahhhhhh...I'll wait for you ;)

I followed the cutting instructions for using the sheets with my Cricut.
Link for cutting instructions is at the bottom of this post.
Cricut's free cut for the week - Luggage tags
round one cut at 2 3/4"
scalloped tag - 2 3/4 x 3 3/4"
Gold Dazzling Diamond Self Adhesive Sticker Sheet

LOVE how they come out!

Next I peeled back the adhesive from the sheet and used the insert to cut out a piece of acetate for the tag making sure to leave one end covered with the adhesive backing paper so that it stays open where I can slide my information in and out of.

Next is just layering, The front of the tag ( Dazzling Gold Rhinestones ), the middle layer is white card stock, (which you could omit if you want to), and the third layer is the back of the tag ( DCWV from the Stardust Stack).

This is my first official project for the team!
How did you like it? If you want to try and win a sheet of the rhinestones then you can enter the giveaway. Hurry though, it closes on the 14th!
