trousseau: noun

the personal possessions of a bride usually including clothes, accessories, and household linens and wares

OK, every once in awhile I get an idea for a card in my head that I just can't shake loose, and worse, have limited products that would work for that idea. Ever since Cath, over at Moxie Fab issued the Camera Craze challenge, this idea has been bobbing around in the tiny area known as my creative brain. So I figured I'd use what I had and work around it.

I had this camera stamp by Sandy Lion and stamped it on My Mind's Eye blue paper, then cut it out. I also had a desire to use metal because of the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show, is Metal-ology so I took a piece of wire and bent it into a round shape and filled in the area with Ranger's Glossy Accents. It slipped a little when I poured in the Glossy Accents, but I still think it looks great :)

Next I drew the mouse around the camera stamp and cut him out. Took a sheet of Scrappin Sports yellow paper, drew holes and cut them out with my Fiskars Fingertip knife and then laid it over a scrap of darker yellow paper. Shaded the holes for depth with my Faber Castell PITT pens. I also used my metallic gellato inside the ears and on his cute little nose.
I love, love, LOVE my Helmar's Liquid Scrapdots!!! I was able to put some under the spiked flash and the camera button so they won't get bent when mailing. How cool is this stuff?

Printed out the sentiment using Traveling Typewriter font and matted it on the same blue paper as the camera.

I suspect if I want to learn how to make cards, I should camp out on your doorstep. That MOM card is perfect. I love it.

And yes, I'm back!! I can't wait to see what else I've missed here.

The mouse card is so fabulous, and I'm impressed that you can draw all this stuff! You don't need stamps! Enjoyed the how-to's of the creative process on your mousie, and great shading in the cheese holes. The Mother's day card is so pretty, and the background paper on that one, is just lovely. TFS - hope your Friday's weather is not too dire...we're supposed to get some 'stuff' here in the Upstate. Rain, sleet, possible "S" word. Stay safe & warm.

PS. LOVE your title today. I had told AJ recently that I needed all new clothes and bathing suits for the honeymoon. I told him its my trousseau, so I have to have it. I don't know if he bought it!
