jabberwocky: noun

meaningless speech or writing
I have 3 birthday cards to share with you today,
all with humorous sentiments
entering this card into:
Inkspirational - Challenge #5 Anything Goes
It looks like a very simple card and it started out that way too. I used the image from the paper as the base for my card and added a funny sentiment.
I love to add detail to my cards that don't add bulk but have as much "ohhh ahhh" factor as splashy big bows, or heavy I add sewing. I hand stitched around the bird, branch and leaves using colors as closely related as I could manage with my DMC floss. It's a nice attention to detail with a bonus of a tactile finish.

Faber Castell - PITT pen
( I cannot seem to stop using this font, it's getting as bad as Comic Sans, lol I might need a font intervention!! )
? - paper
( it's been in my stash for ages, and this is the last piece of it. I loved the other side which is a random script print but I had cut this section off knowing that one day I would use it to make a card from it. I'm glad I finally got around to it. I'm thinking it's either Prima or My Minds Eye. )

this card is entered in:

Fab 'n' Funky - Challenge 156 Shoes

Anna Griffin - ribbon
Fancy Pants - button
this card entered in:
Moxie Fab - Tuseday Trigger
Cath is celebrating her mothers birthday this week, how could I not play along? I was immediately inspired to use Kim Hughes FREE cute little birdie digital image that you can find HERE!
As a special nod to Cath's mother who is traveling to Hawaii for her birthday I used
and wouldn't even try to nail down her age :)
Faber Castell - metallic gelatos
Ranger's - stickles
American Crafts - Slick Writer
gem - misc.
Fiskars - wood grain embossing plate
Big Shot

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!

love the stitched card
thank you for the explanation of jaberwocky.. . I tend to say that people round here jaberwock as a lot of them speak to each other in their own language not English 'they walk down the street jaberwocking away' thought I had made it up!!!!!!
