It's time for Project Pinterest..yay! ::happy dance::

First I would like to announce the featured pinner from July...
Teresa Jaye!!
Congrats Teresa, contact me and I'll send you, your Featured Pinterest button!
I will admit, I love Pinterest, just having all that creativity in one place just makes me happy. I don't have to surf the Internet searching for something, I go to one place, and POW...there it is! lol Sometimes I run across ideas that I didn't even know I was looking for!

Example: this tissue box holder for the car. Like a lot of us, we carry tissues in the car. Some are kept in the glove box, or like me, under the seat, sometimes tossed in the back seat area...which means it gets squished. This is my box from my car, a little warped, a little distressed.
Now to remake this, according to the pin, they want you to go out and buy a container. I rather like upcycling all those plastic containers that I purchased and hoard save, and the reason that I keep them is hoping I can re-use them. It just makes me feel better? My eco-fix so to speak.
Case in point:
Cleaned up, looks like this. Keep the top cardboard piece to cover with paper:
I used Tim Holtz alcohol inks to cover the bottom half:
I cut a hole in the top lid that was 1.25" x 5.25", so that the tissues would come out easily and not tear. The pin didn't have a size listed, but I found this configuration worked well. I tied a couple of ribbons to the top tab ( after punching 2 holes through it ), just because I could, lol I mean you don't have to decorate it at all, especially if it's going under the seat of your car, but what the heck!

Here are the guidelines for Project Pinterest:
1. Decide which pin on Pinterest you’d like to recreate.
2. Create it!
3. Flop or success, create a blog post about your re-do and include the original pin’s url.
4. Add the Project Pinterest button to your post so others can join in too!
* From now on to be considered a "Featured Pinner" you need to add the Project Pinterest button to your blog please.
5. Link up and check out other bloggers’ posts!

That's clever, my box is always a mess in the car. Have not looked at PInterest yet, afraid it will be too addicting!

I truly enjoy what you make from pinterest. I just wish they didn't make you sign up for Facebook and all that other stuff you have to do to get accepted. So I'll admire from afar.
