euchre: verb

1: to prevent from winning three tricks in the card game euchre

2: to cheat or trick

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's WOYWW today, that means fingers cramp and eyes strain from trying to visit the hundreds of ladies around the globe and nose around their craft desks!

OK, so I had a few people from last week wanting to know if the tube I attached under my shelf was working out and the answer is yes and no. No, the scissors didn't work out there as I capped the end of the tube which made it too short and the scissors kept falling out...then I tried keeping my eye glasses there figuring it would be a nice spot so they wouldn't get dirty or scratched, but I'm constantly changing back and forth and frankly am just too lazy to keep putting them back. Currently the tube is housing a hole punch, needle nose pliers and wire cutters until they get put back into their usually assigned place. Other than that, a card I am sewing on takes main precedence on my desk today.

Big News alert !!( cue trumpet )
When I went to upload my picture, I had actually my browser box back to upload from my computer, lol Wonder if it will be there tomorrow, or is Blogger just euchring with me?

Interesting question, isn't it?

My crafting friends know I love to hand stitch on almost all of my projects and that I am published in the Cricut Magazine.

Great looking desk Sandee! I have been having issues with blogger deciding to do what ever it wants of late also. I got on Google Reader the other day and most of my RSS links were gone...Have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #35

Yes, it can be very annoying with these indecisive tubes today, sandee!

Of course it's not US, who do not know what they originally were meant for - namely holding goodies, supplies, creative (and earthly) nourishment... they really shouldn't have problems on being more versatile...

Maybe it would help a little, if the back end of the tube wasn't at the same hight level as the front, but a bit lowered down? (which means you would have to glue an additional distance piece between the back of the tube and your shelf)... darn, that thinking hat won't go off any more...

Claudia xx

Good morning.
Just popping over to say Hi. I hope you have a good and creative week to follow. Sometimes ideas we think will work well don't quite function as they do in our minds, but if you don't try you won't find out.

Oy carumba, didn't realise that was your WOYWW post (serves me right for dashing to the picture that caught my eye.....) I have no idea what you mean about the tube but have an inkling.. going to check as I NEED somewhere to house my cropodile which is just so awkward so you may have given me an idea... and is blogger really working again? I've got kinda used to the whole HTML thing but it would be so nice to go the easy route again. Crafty Hugs from the Hills of Northolt, lol must remember to take a piccy one day, Cindy #70

Hi Sandee,

Love the card! Now those are the kind of sayings that are fun. Have you found one for St. Patrick's Day yet?

I went shopping last weekend and bought a thingie that makes the holes in the cardstock then you "sew" in the holes. I can't wait to try it out.

I guess we are real life friends. I caught on to your wit and sense of humor right away.

Happy WOYWW

It is always trial and error with storage issues. I am always wanting things handy, but then I also want things put away all the time for the space and the neatness--what a battle we creative types have! I often wonder if I actually devoted a whole room to being an art studio, if I would care as much about neatness, because I would certainly have the space, and I could just shut the door on the mess! By the way I adore that card--so cute!!! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #112

At least the tube is being used for something, and you will know what needs to be tidied away, so that to me is a positive outcome! ;) Love th card, the sentiment is brilliant. Annette #18

Thanks for clarifying what's going on with the tube. I hear you on being too lazy to put things back..The heart card is lovely, can't wait to see it finished and the glue on it's side made me chuckle, mine is like that when I've had a feline night crafter...Happy WOYWW Cx #84

I love your desk today Sandee, such a lovely card and also that sweet butterfly ribbon. I really love the sentiment on the second card too - oh I could so OWN that! I've found myself drawn to tops with patch pockets on since I started to wear readers...now I have them on every desk, by my bed and in my pocket..hmm, I may need a tube too!!

Ha ha you're like me, install a new thing but then use it differently. Your desk looks so creative today and I love your card you made. Great word too, love how you used it! I nearly didn't post today as am struggling, but didn't want to miss out, might suffer withdraw symptoms!! Take care Zo xx 139

I am always looking for that perfect solution, my house is full of them..The problem i have is that they never get used for what i intended, then have to look for another solution..
I make lots of storage stands from foam board. If you look at WOYWW 189 you will see a stand i made for my alcahol inks and tools.
Problem solved..

I am going with the assumption that the tube is somehow stuck down otherwise the problem I see with it is that it would always roll away just when you needed it the most. I can see it being useful for things needed on occasion but not as often as glasses or scissors. I absolutely love your card and saying!

Love that sentiment! Hilarious! And just like me, too! :)
Did the scissors keep sliding out or what? If they did maybe you could put a piece of foam or something right at that front edge on the bottom of it but inside the can, to make a lip of sorts, ya know? So they won't slide out? Just a thought. Since it did seem like a very handy place to keep the scissors. Thanks for stopping by my blog already and leaving me a comment! :) Deeyll #161

You will figure out where to put those scissors. I have about 4 rolls of different kinds of tape that are stacked on my desk. My scissors are popping out of the hole in the top one. It works. I always know where they are.
Very late this week. Sorry.
