Scraptown Lady GDT spot ( sticky post - will remain up until Saturday the 20th )

( All current posts are found under this one.)

Hi everyone, I am so excited to announced that I am a Guest Designer for Scraptown Lady today. She sent me these awesome Graphic 45 papers, they are so rich in color and so scrumptious to play with! They are certain to bring out the French in you, non?
Click HERE to take you to my post.

My first project is a card set banded together with a little ribbon and a Prima sun flower.
A gorgeous gift set for any chateaux. I just love the golds, reds and china blues in this line.  and voila, easy to make cards!

It's held together with a little velcro.

The cards were so easy to create using the A La Carte paper, just cut out the picture and matt the motif with a little black paper to punctuate their warm rich tones and you have a beautiful rustic-take-me-to-the-vineyard every day card.

just couldn't stop at one project, the papers are so rich and colorful and meld so well together that it's all you can do to take your hands off of them! My second card set using the French Country Collection was created with a re-cycled box with an added bit of distress inking and sanding to truly give it that old world feeling. They say life is all in the details, and this olive green ribbon is just perfect with the French Country collection.
I took an old box ( yes, never throw out any boxes, become a box hoarder! ) and covered it with the beautiful double sided pattern papers. I loved all the Provencal prints on the papers like the Bon Apetit which provides you with easy way to block out your design.

A little velcro to create a closure.

6 stunning everyday cards to go inside! All so easy to make using the paper motif inserts.

When making a set, I like to have a repeating pattern so that they all match.

Here, I used one of the paneled motifs to create a pocket for stamps. C'est bon!

Firstly, congrats on your new assignment. I know you'll do a fantastic effort. The minute I saw your 1st card pop up, I said "Graphic 45, French Country!" I have a pack of that paper, not used it yet. It's so rich & lux looking..you've done some wonderful projects with it. Takes one to the French countryside, wanting a bowl of the French bean soup (can't spell it!). Glorious cards, and I'm off to check out your suggestions. TFS, stay cool, and many hugs.

OK, reporting back as instructed. Joined the blog, left a comment that their fab guest designer had sent me over, and browsed around. Saw a couple of other familiar faces so visited a few other places as well. Again, great projects here. Might go hunt up my French Country package & see if I can do something with it! TFS & Hugs. Oh yes, please enter me in the drawing & thanks for the chance.

Wow, these are just brilliant, sandee! I love the Graphic45 papers too, but only to look at them. I never manage to use them in my projects satisfyingly as they are so "perfect" by themselves. I always feel like "spoiling" them when I try to add something to them ;)

So very well done and a wonderful guest designer appearance!!!

Congrats and hugs,
Claudia xxx
