fountainhead: noun

a spring that is the source of a stream

 principal source : origin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are a couple first pulls:

I have promised myself that I wouldn't sit and make hundreds of prints just for the fun of it, although I can easily see how that happens to a lot of people. So I reined myself in at 5 prints and 2 run off sheets.

I've also sworn to use them before I get to make anymore. So, I took this print:

 and made this wall hanging:

The flower and the butterfly were also part of the mono print process, they are what I used to mask off the areas, and I fell in love with them too, so I am happy I used them here.

I love how you can see the original print of the flower and butterfly under the layers.

The board itself is one of my run off pieces. Meaning I used it to unload my brayer each time. So I've used 2 out of my 7 !!

I love the process, it is fun and now I need to buy more Deco Arts acrylic paints!

So beautiful! I keep reading about these plates on Weds by lots of UK artists. I have to go look this up on youtube as the results look fabulous. Your piece is gorgeous. Love the sheen you got on your piece. Glad to hear you enjoyed this!

Gorgeous! Love what you did with these...the layers and how you cut around the flower and butterfly like that. Very pretty wall hanging. :)

Sandee you have me wanting to immediately rip off the cover of my Gelli Plate and have a go. ( I know but there is so much to play with right now)
Your piece is totally beautiful - I love the subtlety of your colours and textures. Add to that the addition of the raised features and it is perfect. Totally and absolutely inspiring.

Oh it seems years since I visited Sandee, but as usual I see you've been a busy bee ;D
I'm not sure what a Gelli Plate is or whether I'm losing out not having one...I'll have to research that.
Your wall hanging is so delicate and beautiful. The colours are just perfect.
Enjoy your new toy and have fun! :D
