amateurs: noun

one who engages in a pursuit, study, science, or sport as a pastime rather than as a profession
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi WOYWW'ers!!
I hope everyone is having a great week, just think we are half way to the week-end!!
woo hoo!!..right?
Well, here is my desk, I'm working on another wall hanging for the Art MoB; this particular piece had many make overs to get to this final stage. Sometimes that's fun and sometimes it means I'm struggling....this time? I was struggling!! I hated it, hated it, then totally was in love with it!
Go figure! I'm just working on the letters, and then just have to add the hanging parts and it will be done! yay!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #42 - Night
PanPastel UK Challenge - #41 Animals
Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent - October Halloween Challenge ( not bonus round )

I am also entering my Halloween wall hanging:
with
Try it On Tuesday
which is having is having a
Design Team call!!

I really like my night sky, it looks a little lighter in this picture; the whole effect was done with ink pads. First swirled a black pad, then a silver one over the top. The horse was drawn and then cut out, then layered onto a magazine and cut out again, then lined with stickles. The moon, witch, and the bat was cut from the  Paper Trimmings cartridge. The letters were cut from the Happy Hauntings cartridge, using the Spooky font. The moon was cut twice, once in card stock, the second time in a printed vellum, and then handstitched together. I ran my quilting tool through black paint to get the edging and white and black paint smudged with my finger tips. The 2 smaller bats were stamped from BugBites, Magic Spells and the cricut bat was given dimension using Helmars Liquid Scrapdots.

go enter some challenges, have fun and get your craft on!

I think we all get projects that seem to fight us all the way, Sandee, but usually if you persevere you are victorious, and glad you took the trouble!

Thanks for your visit, and I'm glad you like my tiger. If you haven't already, pop back and see the subsequent post with the finished page.

Happy WOYWW,

Hello fellow North Carolinian! I found you via Donna Downey's blog and thought I would pop over and say hi since we are both artists! We just moved here and will only be here for about a year. Love your art work!

I really like your work in progress! It was like a treasure hunt looking around for the letters still to be adhered and complete the saying. Your witch is a fun piece-- it's hard to put a new spin on such a popular holiday, but she's unique with her colorful mount. Happy Wednesday and thanks for visiting me! ~ Laura #155

You are ment to enjoy art not get stressed over it. I think it looks great, I really like it and it gave me a little giggle. Colouring perfect.

As for the VB Machine nope not working it has gone to hell, I did however salvage some parts. I am really p...ed at the machine doing that, but these things are sent to try us.

Love your Halloween witchy card and I really like your wall hanging, great colours. I don't usually like anything I do until it's almost finished, then it starts to grow on me.
Have a great week.

Hi Sandee,

What a great little hanging! I think I have some stickles somewhere..... oh no.

I didn't join in this week as I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to visit everyone -- but I did want to pop in to see what you've been up to.

Hugs,
