venture: noun

A business enterprise involving some risk in expectation of gain
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pause Dream Enjoy - Challenge 39: Faces
with the question: Do you smile often?
Which I think I do, but I have noticed that in getting older my lips are getting thinner and my smiles in pictures don't look as good anymore! Weird and sad :(

I am learning that it takes me about 4 or 5 layers to get the look that I want, and all that work is just for the background! lol I just keep adding until I finally like it...and adding....and adding! ::whew::

I had a small amount of embossing paste left in my jar so I added some yellow paint to it and went with a cute little sunshine face brass stencil. It's raining today and I needed to make some sunshine!
I scrunched up some yellow tissue paper with medium and water and added some mica powder to it while it was still damp to create the sun's rays. I wish you could see it better, but the sun rays have a nice shimmer to them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I have to say that today has been a wonderful day, for 3 reasons!

#1
I got this from my dear friend Jamie, who knows I have a salt and pepper fetish! I just love collecting them! And aren't these just the cutest, and that little squirrel is adorable, reminds me of the ones I feed outside!
and it wouldn't be Jamie, if the inside of the card wasn't funny! I love her sense of humor, it lines right up with mine!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#2
I walked to church tonight. It's the first time in my life that I have a church so close by that I can just walk to it! How awesome is that? The weather was delightfully cool, and the people I met at the church were very friendly!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and #3
...my venture at the Art MoB has been a success this first month!!
Hurrah!

Today I went into the store to refill my card inventory and I sold 2 cards before I even had a chance to put them up, you might remember 50 Shades of Autumn and the Prozac Turkey, well, seems I need to make more of them! So in honor of this experiment I am having a give away. I would love for you to follow my blog but you don't have to, it would be nice though ;)

But leave me a comment and I'll pull a name next Sunday, October 7th to receive this:

Lastly, I just want to say thank you to everyone, who does follow my blog, who visits me and leaves me comments. Sometimes you never know, but it's the little things in life that really count! Also, I have to say that finding out that strangers like your stuff enough to want to fork over their money for it, is a very rewarding experience, I wish I could thank them too.

Wow, I take a couple of days away from my computer (yes, I schedule my posts), and look at everything I've missed. I guess I had NO idea you collected salt and pepper shakers. I have a couple that are old, old cut glass. They are quite small and sized to sit in front of each person's place. They may have been my Grandmother's.

Thanks for the tip on Blogger. I suspect you may be able to center your photos because you center your text, too. I do exactly as Dianne suggests, and have done so since forever. But it doesn't work when my text is left justified.

Now I'm off to see what I missed for TWO days!!

It's always a delight to visit your blog Sandee and read what you've been up to or simply your opinion on whatever the day's topic may be! You are a what we in UK describe as a treasure and can always be depended on to please!
Your hanging is full of happiness with the sun (not seen that here for a while!) and the gorgeous blue which shimmers in your photo. Love the letters which also have a subtle shine. The sentiment is wonderful too.
(It's not just my smile that looks different in the mirror these days I'm afraid!).
Thanks so much for sharing with us at ABAC and I do hope you'll join us again next time.

Sandee,

Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as usual. I am following, but with being sick I just don't always stop to write like I usually would. I am SO PROUD of you and how well you are doing with selling your art! I know it was a big leap for you, but it is a well deserved success! Much continued success and happiness with it.

Love,
Maureen
