olive green: noun

a deep yellowish green color

I think I am going to consider this version of my wreath as a work in progress. Some of you may remember the snowflake wreath, well under the green shimmer ribbon is still my base of white yarn. Everything is attached with greenery Pins which makes it so nice and easy to remove and add to the base form.

This will be entered in Unique Crafters Challenge: March Challenge #1 ( which is anything goes ) and they have an awesome give away ladies to bring in their new challenge blog, so you would be daft not to go check it out! Seriously!

Also in Perfect Sentiments Chhalenge: PSC21 PSC21 Anything Goes with a Die Cut
and
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Challenge: #43 Monochromatic Green Theme
Paper Trimmings cartridge ( butterflies )
Stretch Your Imagination cartridge ( Spring )
Here is a picture which shows the different steps to the butterflies so you can see the dimension each one has. First the solid layer is cut from green paper and the pin is inserted through the body. Then I cut another solid from the glittery paper and the third layer is the silhouetted form. The top 2 are adhered together and then bent at the wings and then hot glued to the bottom flat green paper.
( This technique works best with a thicker card stock. )

This picture shows all the assembled butterflies and the box of greenery Pins.

Then all you have to do is start poking them into the Styrofoam wreath, it's great because if your not happy where one is you just pull it out and replace somewhere else. And you can make them as flush to the base as you want or as high up as you want!

Same technique was applied to the title "Spring"

So just like my snowflake wreath, when the time comes to change it I just pull out the pins and place them in a zip lock baggy, unwind the ribbon and store it and then re wrap it in whatever I want and fix new embellishments to it! Really nice since I live in an apartment and don't have the room to store several wreaths!

Gorgeous and inventive - the only trouble is deciding which wreath I prefer! Fab alternative to greenery which can easily deteriorate.
