WOYWW 146 : verb

gawping at pictures

It's a highly technical term :0

OK, enough of making fun of Julia...but she asked me to keep it brief...a girl has to have some form of retaliation doesn't she? Your gonna back me up on this ....right? errrr....right? Well, if my link gets removed from the post over at Stamping Ground, then I'll know she didn't enjoy my sense of humor...hee hee

Well, this is my desk. Ok, can't keep it that simple...lol...You can see my Big Shot doing double duty as a weight, it's holding down my AB book. I just love this class by Elizabeth, Altered Book Lover: go do it, it's sooooooooooo much fun to get your fingers so gluey they stick together, gesso on your face, ink every where and let's not even discuss the glitter and beads...:)

Here is a sneak picture of what we are working on in lesson #4, Glue and Gesso. One part is making tags too, so here is a look at my tag:
Well I am off to see what everyone is up to today...was I brief enough? :p

Hi dear Sandee,

I wrote my post before linking up - but mine is on the short side today so I think I'm o.k......

Don't you love when our gadgets can do double duty! Make the most of it, I say.

Your tag looks wonderful!

Happy WOYWW

Never thought I would see the word 'gawping' on a blog fro mthe other side of the Atlantic - it's a very, very English word and one of my favourites.
Thanks for being so kind about my AB and in the spirit of cross-Atlantic co-operation may I say I love yours as well LOL.
Seriously, you are way ahead of me, have only just begun to think about lesson 4, but that tag looks stunning, all those little shells and beads and to top it all a beautiful little seahorse.

I shouldn't worry, I wrote mine at nearly 1 o'clock in the morning when I was half asleep, no where near a brief post. I always have too much I want to share with every one. Lots of fab-ness on your desk again. Thanks for sharing for this WOYWW, I'm nosing my way through the list! Take care Zo xx 22

Yes, indeed, Sandee, I can see that we have very similar senses of humor. People gotta love us, right?! Great post!

You have nice stuff BUT i`M SO IMPRESED with your big photo with horses, yours?

You were a model of brevity - my post is long and rambling but it's the only one I do during the week. Maybe I'll have to have a short first section then if people want to read on, they can!!
Pretty blue tag btw!

What a cool peek at your desk but even cooler peek at your blue "ocean" themed tag. Thanks for sharing. dix---

Hhm, I couldn't be brief if you tied my hands together and put tape over my mouth! Lovely book, really enjoying how they're all coming along.

Crafty Chris - need more boxes? Hop over to Shoshi's blog and take your pick! Lol!!

Sandee, lovely desk, nice to see a dual-use tool!! I adore that tag... I really like anything with a seaside theme. I'd love to know how you are using glue and gesso...

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm definitely thinking of starting a self-help group for cardboard box hoarders like us. "Hello. My name is Shoshi. I hoard cardboard boxes." Sad, or what?

Happy WOYWW,

Will you love me less if I admit that I've never gessoed? I have glued my fingers together. And my husband did superglue a pair of scissors shut once. I took them to work since people were always making off with other people's desk supplies. Can you image how fun to discover them stuck shut?! And brief... pfft! Next week I'm sticking a pair of panties on my desk and saying here's my briefs!!!!

fairy thoughts said...

Yes very brief, but lets talk about glitter and beads LOL
I think WOYWW has been hi jacked by AB makers (inc. me). yours is looking good and well ahead. Maybe because you are being brief

Beautiful tag and right to the point!! I am a reader of posts, so I don't mind the long with the odd photo thrown in LOL.
I can always tell when someone just looks at the pictures. Kinda reminds me of my 7 year old Grandaughter who memorizes a book then 'reads' it to me LOL
Keep smiling and creating and thanks so much for stopping by.

"Gawp," I wonder if that's where JK got "Grawp" in the Harry Potter books? It kinda makes sense. I suspect many of her plays on words went right over the heads of us Americans.

Anyhow, great desk today. I LOVE the colors of your seahorse. It really makes me think of summer.

Happy Creating and Happy Woyww,

i will use anything that comes to hand as a weight to hold things together, so a Bigshot is a very good idea. Elizabeth's class seems to be popping up on so many blogs and it is fascinating to see what lovely work you are all producing. Thank you for your visit and your kind comments on our new stamp. Have a good week. xx Maggie #5

Well they say you learn something new every day, I had never thought of using my BS as a weight! I have two huge law books which I rescued from work for my weights. They weigh a tonne and were very nearly going to be my AB!! I haven't got much into mine as I have been working for a craft fair on Sunday but after that I will be playing catch up!!

That big shot sure came in handy!

Thanks for the kind comments about my DH. He is getting a wee bit stronger each day. Even managed to walk a couple of blocks today! YAY.
I have been banished to the dungeon(scrapbook romm) till the hockey game is over. Apparently, I talk too much!!!
Hopefully he doesn't have another heart attack from the excitement.

Your first line briefness made me laugh, we should all do that one week!!!
It's really hard to be brief sometimes isn't it but you've done a great job and it's lovely and interesting too.
Your tag is looking gorgeous, I love seahorses, they are so cute.
I always look out for your waves, they are my one of my Wednesday highlights so I'm sending you big Yorkshire ones back.

Gawping is a viable verb! Isn't it?!! You make me laugh! Your desk looks marvellous - you are WAY ahead on your book..are you trying to get to the top of the class? Looks that way to me!! And the Big Shot as a weight - genius!
