Ergophobia: noun

A fear of or aversion to work.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since my divorce back in 2010, I have been working on this philosophy of letting go...letting go of the hurt, anger and betrayal...not an easy task, and some days are better than other. Even after 3 years, it's a daily reminder that acceptance and moving on is a better way to live your life than a continual pity party.

So, here in my bible is a Prayer Journal that I made. Although it's made to be sold in the Art MoB, it still reflects my attitude.

And then, there is the "letting it go" when it comes to art. Here I was having issues with my PITT pen, it was drying up and I was trying to coax the last bit of ink from it. So the hand could have looked a little better, but in the end I accepted it for what it was and then threw the pen away and trudged off to the store to buy a new set.

So in both my personal life and in my art, I need to "let it go" sometimes and move on...

Hi Sandee, great to see you joining us again. I do love this, the whole sentiment behind it is a really good reminder for all of us. I think the hand looks just fine and you are so right sometimes it is so hard to just let go but it leaves us happier-in Art as well as IRL!! Thanks for joining us at Ink

Wonderful prayer journal cover. Thanks for your transparency. I am curious whether your Bible being open to that particular passage has any significance...or if it was random. Hugs and blessings to you in your journey. May the love of Christ richly dwell in you.

What a great idea to think of those things we need to let go of as balloons - they float away into the air where God deals with them as necessary.
