Doraphobia: noun

a dread of touching the skin or fur of an animal
( or the dread of Dora the Explorer...lol )

I got these Satin Enamels from Deco Art to play with on my Gelli Plate, and they play beautifully just so you know. I have fallen in love with these smooth enamels! The Gelli plate post doesn't go live until the 15th so here is a sneak peak...

In the mean time I wanted to see what else I could do with them;
introducing my newest obsession
...mixed media switch plate covers...

I had so much fun making them, now I need to redo the master bathroom so it will look as pretty as the switch plate covers do! Small things can lead to bigger projects, can't they?

Here is the light plate cover to match

I love the fine tip you can add onto the Paper Effect writer! I first stamped the word smile using the buttercup enamel and then wrote over that with the 3-D pen.

A quick slide show for the deets if you want to see them:

Pictures of the bathroom, in progress. I am hoping to paint the cabinet below the sink next!

I've already done the frame around the mirror too, the enamels make an awesome stain. Like I said before, I have fallen in love with them!!

Now, a quick survey question...should the walls be painted a light sage green and the trim in a light yellow...or the other way around? I'm planning on the cabinet below being like the mirror.
Oh, and don't be jealous of my 80's Golden Harvest porcelain....just saying ;)

And my latest wild life adventure can be found HERE, where I learn that my balcony isn't big enough for 3 racoons and myself....someone has to go!

Well there's always something new to see when I visit you Sandee. I've never thought about decorating light switches! ;D
I can see this is going to catch on and before you know it you'll be decorating everything!
My preference for the survey would be light yellow on the walls (I'm thinking sunshine...and want it everywhere now I'm limited!)
Your raccoon photo is brilliant...it's like a wildlife Where's Waldo?
Have a great day.
