Boxing Day: noun

Celebrated on Dec. 26 in Great Britain and commonwealth nations like Canada and Australia, this day is when the affluent in society express gratitude by exchanging gifts with the less fortunate. Gifts can consist of food, money or other household items
I kept reading about Boxing Day yesterday and then ran across this cutie:

Hehehe I love your pic.
Hubby has had to pop into work for a few hours this morning so I'm managing a bit of catching up with my blogging friends :-)
Hope you have a really creative New Year.

what a great picture. Thank you for your comments on WOYWW, my mum is low fat and dad is sugar free so not too many calories. Thought you may have snow following all the storms I have been seeing on the TV. Happy New year to you and yours. love francescca

Well there you go, I never knew that! It has always just been a holiday to me, St Stephen's day and a sporting day with many "hunts" in the countryside. (Dad used to live on Dartmoor so this was a common pass time).

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - the kids in the photo are my daughters though, not my grandaughters! They had LOTS of fun with lots of presents.

Hope you had a good Christmas in rainy North Carolina. :)

Great picture. My cats would like it known that they are part of the less fortunate and would appreciate gifts of food, tuna, food, and more food, because they are starving, just ask them. Anyway, I feel enlightened. I thought Boxing Day was their equivalent of the after Christmas day shopping, only more civilized (no actual boxing taking place).
