steam punk: noun

a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy featuring advanced machines and other technology based on steam power of the 19th century and taking place in a recognizable historical period or a fantasy world
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My desk is a quite boring WOYWW: I think, here is a picture of it, but it really doesn't change much from week to week. It might actually be a little cleaner as I have been working on my trading card for Julia's upcoming third anniversary so I had to remove it so it could stay a surprise!...you will see a banner hung on my desk shelf that I created for the Cricut Circle Magazine contest...oh and some smooch that Cricut Magazine sent to me...I'm loving it so far!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I am trying my hand at steam punk...but my way, as I am not usually into this style...so it's kinda steam punk meets punk rocker meets clean and cute gone bad...lol You be the judge...

Rock Princess Cricut cartridge

I up cycled the meshy material that my Easter flowers came in, I misted it with Black diamond ( but a lot of the specks did come off like unwanted glitter ), the mesh was used for her 'skirt', stockings and wrapped around the crown. I placed a black gem in her eye, added some pink hair strips, wrapped a metal wing to her boot, adhered chains to her top...and lastly gave her a pink heart tattoo....whew....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Playing with my little bird's nest, some may remember me altering the bird awhile back, now she has the most beautiful nest. I had some baby's breath left over from the flowers I had out during Easter and baby's breath is a great dried flower.  I'm thinking I need to add a little color to my birdie now, what do you think?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

one fine afternoon.....
I love going out with my friend Shirley, she knows everyone, and knows the neatest places to go to. She took me up to the top of some mountain for this ladies garden show. What an awesome view those people have up there.
Then we drove out to a lake, haven't a clue what it's called. I just drive and Shirley directs me!
Then we ate lunch at this little seafood restaurant and I had the taste sensation of a life time...fried pickled okra....oh my, it's heaven in my mouth!! lol
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK, so a lot of WOYWW peeps evidently don't do Pinterest, but if you know of anyone that does and they like to create something from their pins, then please send them over to me as every Thursday Sarah and I host Project Pinterest. I would love some WOYWW support!
Tomorrow starts a new week and I'll be showing you my Canvas Transfer and will be announcing who my featured Pin Gal is!

Sandee you are quite the photographer on top of your awesome paper crafting skills and the pickled fried okra sounds amazing!!

Ok that is it......

I am moving to your place......

Fried Ockra I love it, I had some Sudanesse make it for me years ago and it is amazing. I can eat the pickled version as I am alergic to vinegar but they made it with a slight variation. Oh heaven on earth that food is.

I am certain of one thing if I come to USA Im coming to visit you.

Thank Shirley for my memories too.

Oh and love your desk al=natural

Wow, now that's a view you'd thank God for every time you came round that path, huh. I love it when a friend shows me something I didn't know about my relatively local area. Go Shirley!
Your desk isn't uninteresting at all.Such a cute banner yo made, I love the idea of the big flower to anchor it; I love the pattern of the tray in front of you. It's interesting that you seem to prefe wet glue..although I agree, AIleen's is so tacky it could be dry as it blobs out of the bottle - and by the way - you've run out of wide tape!

Love your desk Sandee. Those pictures are beautiful and the food very mouth watering. Hugs from Scotland. Rita xx

You look very creative, Sandee. Love your little bird but I would definitely give him a bit of colour.
What stunning photos. A real breath of sunshine. Especially as we have had weeks of miserable rain here in the UK. It's so lovely to see a Summery scene and your lunch looks delish!!

cute projects. Steampunk is challenging to me also! Love the pictures but for some reason deep fried pickled okra sounds really strange and not at all tasty! I agree with you that my desk looks the boring same way each week but I don't know how to perk it up. Have a great week! Vickie #91

I forgot to comment on your lovely bird and nest. The baby's breath is such a nice addition! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Oh BTW, Bea cat did get in the tree herself. Ani cat does the same thing. Ironically it's a dogwood tree. Go figure! LOL

North Carolina is such a beautiful state, we stayed once in a lovely inn up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, stunning views. I have a soft spot for fried green tomatoes but I think I'd draw the line at pickled and fried Okra, lol!!

I really enjoyed the definition of "steam Punk", finally I kind of know what it is, lol! Even better is your explanation of how you describe how you applied it to your adorable card!! I love the "cute and clean gone bad" LOL!!! The card is great! Love the outfit on the girl, so cute! Thanx also for you sweet comment on my pansies~! Aloha!

I'm not much of a steampunk gal either, but love your whimsical take on it. However, I am a pinner and love pinterest - have a bunch of boards, however, I've yet to make anything from my DIY or Crafty board. When I do I'll be sure to link up in support...

I am steadfastly avoiding pinterest because I don't have enough time in my life now and with blog hopping and WOYWW already want to buy one of everything out there. I love your steam punk girl. I was a mohawked punker in my youth. If I were youthful now I would probably be totally steam punk. Love your steam punk girl. And be still my beating heart, a Tacky Glue bottle on your desk! I love that stuff. I know most paper crafters look down their noses at it. What they are missing out on!

I rather like you punk rock girl gone bad card...she's cute! But fried pickled okra? hmmmm it might take me a minute to try that one. Gonna check out your pinterest thingy to see what that's all about, thanks for visiting! #130

Boring is the last word I would use to describe your desk. So much happening and I really love the card, she is so cool and that banner is really cute. What gorgeous places you went to. I've only just found out what an ATC is so no chance of doing this pin interest thing.
Have a great week.
