guest: noun

somebody who appears by invitation

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a Guest Designer today over at Die Cuttin' Divas! I'm so excited to be playing along with the Diva designers over there and I sure would love for all my friends to visit over there and leave some love for me and for them! This week they are having a color challenge
( to use black, orange and purple )
and it's being sponsored by BugBites who is giving away a set of Magic Spells stamps.

This stamp set is adorable with lots of cute Halloween sayings and if you enter their challenge you may win a set for yourself!

A little bit about my card.
I used the Paper Trimmings cartridge for the moon and the witch, both cut at 3 1/2". I took a little bit of white paint on my finger and edged the moon with it. After the moon was adhered to the base paper, I trimmed the left corner to follow the moon's shape.

The witch was cut 3 times.  I layered the first witch over the moon so that I could place my stamps where I wanted them and then pop dotted the second witch over the first witch.

And for anyone who likes to take their die cuts to the next level:
The 3rd witch I did a stamp embossed technique trying to give the image a sense of motion plus a little bit of interest to a plain die. I took some random flourish stamps and off stamped them on the third witch and then glued her on top of the pop dotted witch.

I can't believe we have just barely had Easter and Halloween cards are popping up on your blog. I like what you did and how you took it to the "next" level. Very, very nicely done.

It seems you can do SO much more with your cricut than I can do with my scissors (grin). And thanks for your link to the camera site.

Great idea to use the 3 layers. The motion on the 3rd one from that flourish stamp is very effective.

although it seems so early to be thinking holiday, I totally get that using that color combo brings Halloween to mind - great little card; like the addition of the flourish stamp on the witch.
