Picnic: noun, often attributive

When we dig into picnic, we find the word pick.
Picnic comes from the French pique-nique, which probably came from piquer, meaning "to pick or peck."
The original picnic, in 18th-century England, was more like what we'd call a potluck: all the attendees would bring a dish.
And the big difference? That shared meal wasn't necessarily eaten outdoors.

entering this into:

I really struggled with this card, the background in particular, because I didn't want it to overpower my image. Since I am so stubborn, I re-did this card 3 times. Now a good thing came from being as cheap frugal as I am..or lazy, depending on how you look at it. Every time I redid it I kept cutting out the same image so it has a build up of paper which in turn gives it a chipboard like dimension!

I loved that I could combined the 2 stamp sets together so well. I love adding the pelican perched on top of the signage...which is perfect for adding your sentiment into.

Loved your background! You have inspired me to get the Gelli plate when I saw them (you & one other blogger that I visit both do such wonderfully interesting backgrounds). Your pelican on the nifty sign did take center stage. Great image, great card. TFS & Hope the mtns are cool. SC is hot & humid (85 humidity, same as the temp when I last checked) Ugh!
