After sketching the shell out on a piece of watercolor paper, I applied some Molding paste to help contour the bumps and ridges from the shell. I cannot tell you how many layers of color are on this because I had real issues with trying to get it 'just right' as baby bear would say.
I used the sea shell that I collected from my beach vacation last year as my inspiration from my card. You can also see the same shell on my sidewalk chalk drawing that I did for the
17th Annual Chalk it Up! contest in Hendersonville, NC.

I really love this, the shell is so effective. It was well worth the effort you put in!
The background is perfect for it too, just a hit of water and sand.
Thanks for sharing with us

Firstly-love the adjective of the day-I have never heard of that word before! And your shell here is fabulous-so cleverly created and I like the shades and tones you have used. Thanks for joining us at Inspirational
This is BEAUTIFUL Sandee! LOVE the texture and I adore the sentiment poking out of the shell! A fabulous creation! Thanks for joining us at Inspirational! :)
Sandee: That is so beautiful, love the modeling paste technique you used for your shell. So pretty, and you just want to reach out and touch it.

Oh my that shell is a beauty! I love how you made it and those colors are so fresh and "beachy" to me. It reminds me of walking the beach years ago with my Grandma looking for shells. Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational!

Oh my word, what a beautiful card Sandee, the shell has fabulous texture and dimension and is so beautifully coloured! I love the watercoloured background too! So lovely to have you joining us again at Inkspirational, see you next time!
p.s. - hmm, I think they should have used the word weirdness rather than weirdism. Perhaps there is a film genre called weirdism!
