lackluster: adjective

lacking in sheen, brilliance, or vitality : dull, mediocre

entering this in:

Tim Holtz - 12 Tags of 2013
( Where I am taking the TH tags and making them into  6x12" wall hangings. )

Ranger products used:
Distress Stains - Faded Jeans, Barn Door, Vintage Photo
Distress Markers - Spun Sugar, Broken China, Antique Linen
Tissue Tape
Glossy Accents
 and in
Anything But a Card - Challenge 12 Share The Love

I really enjoyed watching the video tutorial that Tim gave showing how to use the Distress markers with the Distress Inks and with using water. It's like having a whole new set of products to play with. I didn't have the stamps he used but found this coloring page to play with. I also made a bow using the tissue tape, love it!

I had a lot of fun making this charm by printing out a heart with the quote, then forming a wire in the heart shape and filling it in with Glossy Accents. I love it...
 but confession time alert:
I purposely left room to write "unknown" on the bottom right corner of the heart but forgot to do it because I was enjoying the whole process too much! lol

Really Reasonable Ribbon - twine and heart ribbon
Faber Castell - PITT pen
Fancy Pants - button

clip art that was used:
( feel free to use )

The playing card doesn't re size very well, but it's doable :)

I'm having a birthday give away to celebrate getting older...ugh!
But it's always more fun if there are presents involved! right?

This looks amazing maybe I need to go back and revisit some of his tutorials

I took the brushes out straight away mum but they were shitty ones anyway. I would never dream in a million years to do it to my good ones lol

Fantastic take on the TH tag and your tissue bow is a great idea too.

I think your tag has turned well, I have the same problem, no timmy stamp so I'm going to use an actual old playing card. Have a good one. Love francesca

This is fab Sandee, I love how you made the heart pendant yourself.
Wonderful.
It will be lovely to have all the wall hangings by December.

What a great idea to make hangings this time around! I love your take on the tag. Thanks for sharing the clip art too! The sentiment on both the piece and inside the heart are so nice (and positive!)

Getting old is good because the alternative is to stay young and dumb!

Love the brightly colored tag. Your tissue tape bow made me go, "Squeee!" Or it would have if I wasn't at work where I would have to explain myself.

Oh my, you really developed this into a magnificent wallhanging. I admire how you were able to substitute using your own creativity for Tim's supplies that you didn't have. That is definitely a talent! (one I'm not having). Thanks for the clipart too...Great interpretation of what TH did, and great job on it too. TFS

Hi Sandee hope you are well. I love your take on Tim's tag and what I like even more is that it isn't a tag! (if you know what I mean). The words are wonderful, especially those in the little heart. Great idea to use the clip art too AND you've put them in your post for others; how kind you are. Sorry I've not been around much, I'm not quite up to full speed but it doesn't mean I've forgotten you.
So glad you joined us at Anything But A Card yet again!! Well done on featured artist piece too.
Hugs, Juliaxx
