365 Cards - “Elegant Ephemera"

365 Cards -“Elegant Ephemera"

I am a Guest Designer today for Pamela over at 365 Cards!

OK, this was waaaaaaaaaay out of my normal box, I don't make many elegant cards and hardly anything with ephemera. As a matter of fact, if it hadn't been for Susan over at Genuinely Jane Studios tucking in a few stamp ephemera into my goodie box, I wouldn't have had anything to use at all.

So it took me 2 attempts to come up with something I hope that meets this challenge.
( And I'm not sharing the first try either, lol )

I adhered the stamp onto a chipboard heart and then added a layer of tissue paper over it to hopefully diffuse the edges of the stamp a bit.

I did have fun with the heat embossing and got an unusual reaction from stamping with white ink and using clear embossing powder, it turned it peach!! ( The border along the left side and the top and bottom sentiment )Then I also stamped with white ink and white embossing powder to bring out one of the sentiments.

Ah, this is lovely. Don't know why you said elegant is out of your comfort zone. This is a wonderful card, and more in line with 'my' comfort zone. Thanks for interesting bit about the white ink, white EP...you achieved a beautiful look with it. Loved your stamped heart ...great card. TFS
