Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes

The Art Mob has had a request from a Real Estate office for some art work to be displayed in their office. Although this is giving them free art to hang in their offices, I am wondering if it would produce any business in the long run also? What do you think? In my fantasy world, I envision new home owners saying "I love that piece, can I buy it? "...or having the real estate office commission me for art to give to the new buyers vs. a basket of fruit: a largesse offering to their clients perhaps?...I mean they are making commission....course I know the market isn't the best right now...oh I am rambling, just like my daydreams! And yes, I know they don't go to a real estate office to buy art work..duh!

Last week I found some leather remnants and I purchased one, just to try out for this piece. I knew I was going to make the house out of it as soon as I saw the pile of leather, so I searched out a thin one that I thought wouldn't be too difficult to sew through. It sure does "shed" when cut though.

And you know I love to sew whenever I can, so I outlined my sun.

Oh, this is too cool! Hope it drums up more business, too. I think that's a good idea for the realtors to provide some art for the new homeowner vs a fruit basket! You'rs so smart!

Your wall hanging is adorable!!! I think you should talk with the head of the realty company to see if you can make a deal to supply them with wall hangings to those who close on a house. Also see if you can put a sign up by your hanging art work that has your info on it and leave business cards with them... oops, am I preaching to the choir??? Like I said I really like your sweet wall hanging... LOL

I think getting your work out in front of more people is a wonderful marketing opportunity! And I would think that people in a real estate office might very well notice the art because they are thinking of their new home and maybe wanting to furnish and decorate it. Good luck!

This is beautiful, and I so think that giving them art to hang in the office is a great way to get your name out there!

This piece is so awesome! I love the details of stitching you used. The leather was a great material to use for the house, too! So much texture, I just want to reach out and touch it! Thanks for joining us over at the Frosted Designs blog for our LOVE challenge!
