Caffeinate Me

I love my Dylusion inks and the background was created by wiping them on with a paintbrush and using water to draw the strands of hair. Her face and coffee cup are painted on with Deco Arts Multi Surface paints and outlined with their dimensional writer.

I added some very old little plastic letters using my Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I really love how it dries crystal clear.

I loved adding flowers and charms into her hair.

And I hand sewed hundreds of teeny tiny glass seed beads.

I used my Signo white pen to draw through the stencil on her coffee cup and then used some of Ranger's Glossy Accents to highlight some of the design from the Doily stencil.

I am adding my canvas into Simon Says Monday challenge - About a Face

Hi Sandee,

She's beautiful! I love all the attention to detail -- the beads, flowers and outlining of the stencil.

Good luck with the challenge!

Hugs,
Kay

Beautiful! The colors are lovely and I like how you did the strands of hair. Love the beading! It must have taken you quite a while to sew on all those beads! You are a wonderful artist Sandee!

This is such an absolutely extraordinary piece! I read every detail in your post to see just how you created this beauty. I love the background with all of its soft colors and gorgeous splatters and swirls. Amazing was to create hair! I also love the sentiment, which made me smile. I give you a high five for using old letters but managing to make them look totally modern at the same time. The flowers and seed beads give it just the right bit of wow and her mug is stunning. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
