Sundays with Sandee

Random thoughts today will be about why I choose the quotes, the crown, the chickens, etc. If you want to see how I made it, please pop over to the Frosted Designs blog where you can see the video of me attaching the crown to my page and a short slideshow showing the creation of the face.

Now, I will admit that at first I found it daunting to be adding a crown to my page because I don't think of myself as Queenly in any way shape or form...but since I had a contest with my friends making crowns, it just seem to fit that a crown page would be the perfect time to announce the winner...which is.....

Congrats Sharon, contact me via FB and give me your address so I can get your Helmar prize out to you!

Next, I began hunting for quotes ( 'cause I love them ) that would fit me.
I thought this one was perfect:
Never look back...if Cinderella went back to pick up her shoe she wouldn't have become a Princess.
So, like many of us, we have things that happen to us in life and we worry, and we fret over the "why" and the "could haves". But trying to not focus on what did happen is hard to do, moving on is even harder sometimes...but like Cinderella we need to keep moving on.

So now let's talk about the chickens....I believe when we think about the future, or stepping outside of our box we can be chickens. I know, it's hard, it's scary and it's uncomfortable. So, when I saw the cluster of chickens in a magazine, I thought it just fit where I was going with my page and amongst the chickens I wrote thoughts that either I need to stop doing or that I need to do; like life, they are all mixed up into one big confusing jumble running around in my head.

The quote on the inside of the crown is something that just ties everything together and doesn't need much of an explanation:
Maybe God has a bigger plan for me than I had for myself.

And if eyes are the gateway to the soul then her eyes are wide open and mesmerizing. I created them by cutting the shapes out from a magazine and using those colors for her hair. I really love her eyes.

So, are you willing to accept that things happen for a reason? Are you able to just go with the flow?
