Balance

A feeling of equality in weight, attention, or attraction of the various elements within a composition as a means of accomplishing unity.

OK, so I'm not all lovey dovey and I admit I hate being alone and having to deal with all these love prompts during Valentines. I'm ready for this to be over but I know I several more days of it to deal with. Don't get me wrong, I'm just jealous of all you love birds and wish I had someone too...so having said that, I have a "love letter" prompt to deal with in Journal52, so I thought maybe I could try for some obscure and hopefully not too dark ...yeah, that's me, deal with it so we can move on, shall we?

Chelle gave us some links to hopefully get us jump started so I used the Wikipedia definition of a love letter for the background.

I painted the subject with my pipette, I am beginning to really love this technique,
the sonnet really hit home for me and I LOVED how I ran out of room on the note and had to write the last line on the bottom of the paper. A happy accident.

I gave credit to the author of the sonnet here on the book with his name F. Scott   Fitzgerald's, from his second novel published in 1922 The Beautiful and Damned: "a morality tale, a meditation on love, money and decadence, and a social document".
Did I say I was going to try and keep it from being too dark?....lol

The feather has LOTS of shimmer and shine

Such a pretty piece! I love the quill you made for the pen and the books! You have such a great way with journaling and lettering too. I have had many years of not loving Valentine's day, until my friend reminded me once that each day can be Valentine's Day when you share yourself or love with others and you do that all the time through your work!

I love it! So nifty and you have a good handwriting to do this with. Fun times!

Now about VD--I always thought it was about love, not "having someone" which by the way sounds really serial-killer-ish.

General Population: I have a special someone in my heart.

Serial killer: I have a special someone in my basement.

Hi Sandee, this is really lovely! I see Valentine's Day as sharing love in friendship more than the commercial romance thing it has become...so sending a big hug & Valentine wishes from across the Ocean, my lovely blog friend, Carole Z xxx

This is really beautiful and full of love. There are many many love but the best is 'self love'. " love " your creativity - we do :)

Lovely Sandee! I'm really enjoying your pipette paintings! I'm looking forward to playing again this weekend. It is so fun to paint with the pipettes and not worry about it being exact. Although I do have to say you managed a great amount of control with this one!
