No crafting yesterday; I spent it with Carey at the Biltmore Estate oohing and ahhhing over all the scrumptious flowers and stuffing our faces with delicious food. It was a great day!

Walking up to lunch at the Biltmore Inn..

 a rose at every table...

the view from our table...

after lunch, a walk through the beautiful gardens...

and a surprise on the drive out of the estate....

a yellow river of flowers that seemed to stretch forever...

goodbye Biltmore...thank you for an awesome day!

Wow, that is some beautiful spot! I have heard of the estate, and someday, I hope to make it down there. Such a view! I had to smile when I saw Steve Martin, as my hubby turned me on to his music and we have both his cds, as the hubs knows I love Vince Gill and he played and sang on the first one with Dolly. Yep, a NY'er who loves country music. PS. I got to NC once and found a small town by accident called Blowing Rock NC. It looked look a Norman Rockwell town and my late hubby had a hard time getting me to keep going (we were join camping in the Smoky Mountains.. Lovely neck of the country. Must get traveling again!!

I was listening to the song as I perused the pictures and then had--"When you get to Biltmore"--in my head instead--LOL!
What a lovely, colorful sight! Spring has just reached brown from white up here. ;)

Lovely photos! Sounds like you had a wonderful day! I've seen Steve Martin play on TV. He is really good on that banjo. Our daughter is a music director and her husband gave her a banjo for Christmas.

Oh that was beautiful! TFS your lovely photos! Makes me yearn for planting flowers real soon. I guess I was lucky to have a few of my red tulips bloom this year...just a few.
