I didn't have to combine the 2 challenges but they did seem to walk hand in hand this time around. I also didn't have to use Ranger's sentiment that they used on the color prompt, but I thought it was grand and used it anyway, especially seeing that April 22nd is Earth Day
...and I am happy. See, doesn't take much for me.

On Saturday we had our Opening Reception for the 30 Day Challenge at the Art MoB. I think we had a good showing, lots of people showed up. This is the gallery side of the shop.

Here are the artists ( including me ) who participated in the challenge.

I will admit to you, my bloggy friends that I try to stay away as far as possible during these functions. Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than being around people who want me to talk about my art, I start to ramble, I become this scatter brain blob talking about everything and nothing...lol So I stayed up at the corner of our street and handed out flyers about the event....and again I was happy.

Be YOU tiful!! Love the colors and that is such a great quote! I would not want to be there either when others are looking at my work.

Such an awesome piece. LOVE the sentiment (so true!). Fun way to make the dragonfly! Looks like a lovely place for your art to be displayed. I am not much for groups of people, so I can bet I would be outside too!

Hi Sandee,

I love your project!! The colors are perfect together. Oh, but at first I thought the project really HAD melted chocolate!!! I can sometimes be quite daf!

What a great group of ladies. How fun to have a community support you. The gallery looks so cool with the open beams.

You are right - it's an ape head. Although Nan G said a man reclining and when I went back to look at it I saw THAT too!

Hugs,
Kay

This is gorgeous Sandee & I think a bit of a ramble about your talents is no bad thing! Leave the flyers to themselves and get out there & share your ability!! xx

I am loving the sentiment, and the dragonfly!

That's great that you went to the reception, even if you don't love the attention. I'm glad that you found a way to participate and be happy there! I always get very anxious at big receptions and things, I don't always enjoy talking to people I don't know, especially about teaching and scrapping! I get nervous!

Sandeem what a lovely work of art. Your dragonfly seems ready to take flight. Just recently saw a friend working with the Dylusions...oh my! (I can't afford to get into THAT just now! I do have some of the sprays, and she was showing how...uh oh). The tag has such dimension and I loved the colors too. Thanks for showing your art gallery. So lucky for you to have a group of talented artists for support. I don't like 'functions' either. Try to avoid 'em as much as possible now that retirement has arrived. However, don't worry about 'rambling about your art'. People are usually fascinated at the How-to's..else they wouldn't ask you to talk about it! TFS the beautiful piece and also your 'environment & friends'. Hugs (Upstate hit 81 today. Very pleasant)
