Paper Playtime - google eyes

I love googlie eyes, they just make me smile and can deliver even the snarkiest statements in a friendly and fun way, like this birthday tag saying, "you're how old? "...lol

I used my paper which had a cute little monster to create a balloon shape and added the goggle eyes to it and some twine for a bow.

I filled in the negative space with glossy accents after filling in the centers of the A's....( not sure what this says about me, but I don't deal with negative space very well, I guess I want happy space )....::eye roll::

Reminisce white pen
CardsTv - stamp
Ranger - glossy accents
Really Reasonable Ribbon - twine

abandon: noun

a thorough yielding to natural impulses; especially : enthusiasm, exuberance
( not to be confused with the verb abandon...huh? No wonder they say that English is a very confusing language. It confuses me! )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is my introduction post over at Frosted Designs, would love for you to go over there and leave the "Monday ladies" a warm welcome....and me too while you're there! ♥
I also hope you play along with us!

It's time for one of the hottest trends out there over at Frosted Designs - CHEVRONS
( But not one of my favorite trends, I don't really like busy patterns, so after I lifted my head off the desk from moaning and groaning that my first post just had to be something I don't do well... and searched for a chevron paper...I discovered I had a couple of different ones... which surprised the heck out of me! )

Nevertheless, in for a penny, in for a pound...I made 4 banners, alternating with the chevrons and red and layered them on each other. Cut a blue strip and made a topper with the sentiment with 2 gemstone brads. Decided to put the banners over hounds tooth paper ( I mean as long as I am using one busy paper, I might as well use another busy pattern, lol ) as this will go into the masculine birthday section over at the Art MoB. The finishing touch is a thin red strip on the top and bottom of the card.

While I might not love chevrons, I do love having a sense of humor  :)
and hope who ever receives this also has one!!

Glitz, Oh what a Dame - chevrons, blue and red paper

heartstring: noun

the deepest emotions or affections — usually used in plural

As trends go, I don't usually adhere to them as a general rule. I like to do my own thing, sometimes I'm lucky and what I like happens to be a trend. Well, I love cameras, actually retro looking cameras tug at my heartstrings.  I even still have my Brownie camera from the 1960's!! Isn't it cute?

But I prefer to use a high tech digital camera....hmmm...
I am a woman in conflict...
or just fickle.
Actually I am a retro spirit stuck in a modern world.....or an old person living in the past?

The sentiment was printed on a piece of card stock and laid under the lens opening, then a piece of acetate laid over it and 2 layers of rims with a thin layer of Scrapdots spread between them for a slight lift to finish it off. The wrist strap is a random recycle piece that I tied a knot in it and then glued it between the base card and the cover layer. Camera outlined with a metallic marker. I love this hounds tooth print for a masculine card.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge, I know I'll be checking out every singe submission!

I'm having a birthday give away to celebrate getting older...ugh!
But it's always more fun if there are presents involved! right?
