euchre: verb

1: to prevent from winning three tricks in the card game euchre

2: to cheat or trick

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's WOYWW today, that means fingers cramp and eyes strain from trying to visit the hundreds of ladies around the globe and nose around their craft desks!

OK, so I had a few people from last week wanting to know if the tube I attached under my shelf was working out and the answer is yes and no. No, the scissors didn't work out there as I capped the end of the tube which made it too short and the scissors kept falling out...then I tried keeping my eye glasses there figuring it would be a nice spot so they wouldn't get dirty or scratched, but I'm constantly changing back and forth and frankly am just too lazy to keep putting them back. Currently the tube is housing a hole punch, needle nose pliers and wire cutters until they get put back into their usually assigned place. Other than that, a card I am sewing on takes main precedence on my desk today.

Big News alert !!( cue trumpet )
When I went to upload my picture, I had actually my browser box back to upload from my computer, lol Wonder if it will be there tomorrow, or is Blogger just euchring with me?

Simon Says Stamp and Show - What are you known for?

So Simon poses the question: What am I known for?
hmmmm?
Interesting question, isn't it?
OK, my bloggy friends might answer it quickly with my "waving hi from the hills of North Carolina" signature :)  or my Word of the Day fixation...
My crafting friends know I love to hand stitch on almost all of my projects and that I am published in the Cricut Magazine.
And my real life friends might say I have a quirky sense of humor and never answer my phone!

I guess it just depends on who you ask...and if you ask me...
Well, obviously it's my stunning beauty and effervescent personality!
stop laughing, pick yourself off the floor now....sheeesh

4th of July

A National day in the United States to commerate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776
but
in reality, it's a day to decorate your house/yard with all sorts of Americana goodies, wave the flag, wear red, white and blue, watch the fireworks, eat hot dogs cooked out on a grill, attend a parade, go to the lake, eat bar-b que with some friends, go to a baseball game, have a drink....
or just stay home and relax! ( my plan...and add one of the drinkie thingies too :/ )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To my WOYWW ladies, I apologise for the long post, but for those that do no know this:
I am a Guest Designer for Really Reasonable Ribbon for the entire month of July, so a quick look at my desk, and then we are off to celebrate Really Reasonable Ribbon and Scor-Pal who are teaming up this week to share all sorts of crafting ideas! On the 13th we are having a blog hop and you are the first....err....100 to get a sneak peak at what I'm making for the hop. lol
Any guesses as to what it is?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As many of you already know I am published in Cricut Magazine and in the May 2012 issue I created a project using Really Reasonable Ribbon twill. ( Twill is one of my favorite ribbons. )
I wanted to do a small tutorial on it reproducing it in July 4th colors to celebrate the day!
Scor-Pal tape
glitter pattern paper: Reminisce
Cricut - Doodlecharms cartridge
and a candle ( mine is from Michael's for .99 )
Cut 2 flowers at 5 " and 2 flowers at 5.5"
Form to the shape of your candle base
curl back edges using a pencil
cut one 5.5" flower petals apart
Next, line the back of the smallest flower that will form the inside candle base with Scor-Pal tape and then adhere your ribbon to it. This will help hold your shape for the cup too.
Stack your layers of flower cups with a layer of glue between them, then using glue, insert the cut petals individually and use hot glue to adhere your bow on. ( made with Bow Easy! ) You're done, simple and easy way to add some decor to a candle!
Here's wishing everyone ( even those across the pond ) a Happy and safe 4th of July!!

Wish me luck, lol, seems like sitting out on my balcony or working in the garden are taking precedent these days!
