Shake your head,, laugh all you want at me, but making handmade paper has been the most fun I have had in a long time. I have ventured into the casting molds section and used the Arnold Grummer mold called Mini Assortment and cast these little beauties in a lavender pulp.
Once dry they popped right out of their molds!
Next I heated up my Ranger's UTEE melting pot and dipped them in. It was a surprise how dark they came out but I think they look great.
The next step was deciding what to do with them so I first tried to see if I could pierce them with a needle and found out that it worked! I had two strips of handmade paper that I adhered with my trusty Helmar Tacky glue and then sewed one onto the bottom. I stamped a cute stamp from Unity called Matching Socks which fit because the two sides to the bookmark don't match! lol
I think I am going to make some more bookmarks and give them to my girlfriends for Valentine's Day ( the ones who do not have a significant other in their life might appreciate a small gift ). In the meantime I am entering my bookmark in:

Love your creations! Great quote. I took a paper making course several years ago ( a whole week!) and loved it. Still make some at times.

ReplyDeleteOMG I LOVE making paper : D. Only for me it's a summer time project. I even picked up a dedicated blender at a garage sale. I need to write myself a list of weather based crafts so I don't forget like I did this summer.
