Craft-room challenge - Here comes summer
( One of the things that I look for in summer are the male American Goldfinches molting out of their dull  olive green coat for a bright yellow look. That's a sure sign of summer, plus flowers too! )

Challenges 4 Everybody - #22 Anything Goes

Ranger - Seasonal Color Palette: June
Distress Paints - Broken China, Antique Linen
Distress stain - Broken China, Black Soot
Dylusions Ink Spray - Lemon Zest

I love being able to color in the bird using the stains and my water brush.

You can't see because the flower covers it up but the birdcage is sewn through the paper. The flower stems are paper that was torn using the water technique and then once glued onto the canvas is then rolled using your finger tips.

other products:

Little Yellow Bicycle - paper, canvas bird, sticker border and sentiment
Petaloo - flowers
charm - misc.

  7. Loving that little yellow bird. You do so many techniques I've never heard of, and they always look so fab. Not tried waterbrushing with the paints either (I only have a couple paints to-date! Been busy collecting P.Pastels). This is gorgeous and love everything you did on it. Hope the weather is ok up yr way tonight. We just had a tstorm pass through. Nothing dreadful thankfully. TFS.
